Dance classes for adults, kids and teens are being offered in 2017 including Hip Hop, Salsa, Latin, Standard Ballroom, Jazz, Ballet and other Social and Performance Dances.

Because of their popularity, more Hip Hop classes have been added for kids, teens and adults and our Hip Hop Competitive teams.

You can choose from a variety of Fitness Classes as well, including Zumba®, U-Jam® and Bombay Jam®.

 

 


 

2017 ANNUAL SPRING RECITAL SET FOR JUNE 10.

The annual Spring Recital is a vital part of our dance school year. This performance is the application part of Performing Arts.  This is the opportunity for our students to shine in front of family and friends. Students gain a new experience when they feel the spotlight on their faces and hit the big stage. The recital becomes a venue perform like a professional at a higher standard as a result of months of training, hard work and dedication to their craft.

This year’s Recital theme is “Eunoia”. Eunoia is pronounced as /u-no-ya/ and is a Greek word meaning beautiful thinking or a good mind.  This dance school year our teachers will translate abstract words into movement and dance. We want to challenge our creativity and our students by digging deep into our imagination and creating a masterpiece through dance. Our Recital will be on June 10, 2017, 3:00 pm at the Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center Bankhead Theater.

Zumba fitnessFITNESS CLASSES OFFERED IN EARLY MORNINGS and EVENINGS

Our Fitness classes include Zumba®, Zumba Gold®, Bombay Jam® and U-JAM Fitness®.

Zumba® combines Latin and international music with dance to make exercise fun. Zumba Gold® classes are similar but are geared for older adults or those with limited mobility. Check out the Fitness Schedule to find out when these classes are held.

 

ZUMBA®:

Zumba® is a dance fitness program created by dancer and choreographer Alberto “Beto” Perez in Colombia during the 1990s. The program combines Latin and International music with dance in an effort to make exercise fun. Zumba classes are offered through licensed instructors. Classes use music based on Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Reggaeton and other international music styles and forms.

ZUMBA GOLD®:

Zumba Gold® is a modified Zumba class geared towards older adults, beginners, those with limited mobility and people recovering from injuries. Basically it’s for ANYONE. Zumba Gold® recreates the original moves you love at a lower intensity. The class focuses on all elements of fitness: cardiovascular, muscular conditioning, flexibility and balance.

BOMBAY JAM®:

This exercise program has a serious focus on integrating fun and fitness! Bombay Jam® incorporates cardio adn toning exercises into one action-packed total body workout. Routines are set to custom music mixes creaed by Bombay’s hottest DJs. The music is a blend of Bollywood and mainstream Top 40 tracks, resulting in one-of-a-kind mixes that are refreshing, energizing and universally appealing. The cardio routines incorporate basic, easy to follow dance fitness moves full of Bollywood flare, and he toning segment focuses on sculpting long, lean muscle. In just a 60 minute class, you can burn hundreds of calories. 

U-JAM FITNESS®:

U-JAM Fitnes®s unites world beats with urban flavor and takes you around the world from Hip Hop to Bollywood with an athletic cardio workout that tones your body and leaves you begging for more.

Have lots of fun while toning your muscles in all the right places and burning lots of calories.

Class is on Wednesday evenings from 6-7 pm starting on January 25.
