2017  SUMMER CAMP CLASS SCHEDULE

A variety of summer dance and drama camps will be offered during the 2017 summer along with our regularly scheduled dance classes. The camps last 1 week and provide experienced younger kids and teens with the opportunity to enhance their dance skills, and the opportunity for first-timers to dance to explore a new interest.

Look over the different camps shown below to see if one or more of them are right for your child(ren).

Each week long camp costs $175 with partial week attendance costing $50 per day.

Kids Ballroom – Rumba Camp      (ages 6-12)

June 12-16, 2017     9:00 am – 12:00 pm    (snacks will be served)

Instructor: Mr. Che

The Kids Ballroom – Rumba week long summer camp will introduce participants to the rhythm and grace of the Rumba.

Che Akhundov has over 5 years of professional experience in teaching ballroom dance classes. He currently teaches year-round ballroom classes for kids of varying ages at our Studio. He is skilled at making his classes fun while his students learn various Latin and Standard Ballroom dance styles.

Jazz Funk Camp      (ages 7-12)

June 19-23, 2017     9:00 am – 12:00 pm   (snacks will be served)

Instructor: Miss Jessie

Our Jazz Funk Camp will help students develop a love of Jazz Funk dance moves and music through creative movement. This 3-hour class will emphasize having lots of fun while learning, dancing and making friends. Dance students are free to wear any clothing that will not hinder their dance movements.

Jessie Rodriguez focuses on creating an encouraging and supportive environment for her students.

Beginner Hip Hop Camp     (ages 7-12)

June 26-30, 2017     9:00 am – 12:00 pm      (snacks will be served)

Instructor: Mr. Ray

This Camp focuses on all aspects of Hip Hop including groove, waves, popping, locking and the choreography they will perform at the end of the week to show their progress to their parents.

Raymond Santos teaches Hip Hop classes at our Studio and continues his study and work in the dance industry focusing on dance movement, execution, musicality and artistry.

Ballet/Jazz Combo Camp      (ages 6-9)

July 10-14, 2017     9:00 am – 12:00 pm      (snacks will be served)

Instructor: Miss Heather

This Camp is committed to teaching your child the basic fundamentals and technique of both ballet and jazz dancing, as well as creating a fun and energetic environment while dancing! The students will learn a short routine during the week that they will present at the end of the camp session!

Heather Tabor teaches Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop classes at our Studio, and she is the Director of her All 4 Dance company.

July 31 – August 4, 2017     9:00 am – 12:00 pm      (snacks will be served)

Instructor: Mr. Che

Students will learn the energetic Jive dance style and focus on rhythm, technique and styling but always with an emphasis on having FUN.
